Artist Statement

Sequence: A series of related items that constitute a complete unit. An order of succession; an arrangement. I look to create a harmonious experience by layering patterns together to create a single unit, forming sequences or relationships between color, pattern and negative space. Each drawing, collage, or painting is for me a unique experience, even with the reuse of patterns or processes. Each time I further my knowledge by viewing patterns in a previously unused way.
